Biography
Born in Friborg Switzerland, currently lives in the mountains. Married, father of two children.
He first made self-taught Super-8 and 16mm films that he edited in secret in the cellars of the university in parallel with his studies in clinical psychology.. He immersed himself in the classics at the Swiss Cinémathèque and continues a period of various training courses.
His first short film, a 16mm documentary, is purchased by TSR TV and screened in preview in several French-speaking and German-speaking swiss cinemas.
From 1990, works exclusively as director-producer. Also directs educational films.
He founded MERLIN Films Sàrl 2007 to develop and produce its own particular projects, research and essay films, and to distribute them as well as those by other authors rarely shown, by atypical channels to reach the general public.
He hosted numerous debates and school presentations of his films, demonstrating the ability and the need of the young audience to open up another look.
His first feature film was released in theaters in Switzerland and France (official release 2012), preselected in Venice (Mostra).
